WELCOME TO RICHMOND HILL

Richmond Hill has had a history of growth explosions! The town’s boundary increased from 1700 acres to 2700 acres when the town limits were expanded to include parts of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Markham, Vaughan and King in 1970. Jay Chauhan founded “The Richmond Hill Association for Multiculturalism” in 1989 which led to a population explosion with new people discovering the area for the first time and making it their home. As a result, Richmond Hill has developed many multicultural and diverse neighbourhoods and is still considered one of Canada’s fastest-growing towns.

REAL ESTATE INSIGHTS

Richmond Hill continues to see extensive population growth. Due to its close proximity and accessibility to Toronto, more and more people are calling Richmond Hill home. With the extension of the TTC subway to Vaughan, it has only driven prices higher. The current price of an average detached home in Richmond Hill is well over a million dollars. If the plans of the next subway extension to Highway 7 come to fruition, we will see the condo world explode in Richmond Hill. Once considered a small town and referred to as the "rose" capital of Canada, Richmond Hill has flourished. It is now a highly sought after community for those looking to raise a family in the same town where they can have a successful career. We met Josh through a mutual acquaintance, and that was our lucky day! Although we lived in Georgetown, after our first meeting with him we decided he was the agent who would sell our property and find us a new one that suited the life transition that we were making. He gave us very solid advice in terms of getting the house ready to sell, and on setting the selling price, and it sold in record time and at a record price. He showed us one perfect home in the area that we were looking in, and we are now happily settled in our new home thanks to Josh. Josh is a very dedicated and professional real estate agent, and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is in the market to buy or sell a property. - Jayne Brown
