Fall officially began on September 22nd, and already everyone seems to be bringing out the flannel and pumpkin-spiced everything. Fall is a favourite season for many, including interior designers. The warmer colour pallets, the blankets and the candles are a few of their favourite things. To get you into the spirit of the season, here are some trends you can expect to see this fall from some of the top designers.
Classic Plaids
Designers are taking your typical plaid to new levels. Move away from a traditional red and black, and instead, try adding black and white plaid with some deeper accent tones on pillows and throws.
Matte Textures and Rose Gold
Say goodbye to the typical chrome and gold. Designers are opting for matte or rose gold finishes on fixtures and appliances.
Knitted Pieces
The thicker the better. Large, wool knit blankets add texture and warmth to any room during the fall and winter months.
Vintage Rustic
Designers are opting towards an updated rustic style by combining rustic with industrial or farmhouse with vintage. To create the look, use slim, vintage furniture, textured rugs, warmer wood hues, leafy plants, and pops of colour where necessary.
Invite the outdoor season inside by changing your rooms throughout the year.
