6 Fun Ways To Keep Busy At Home During COVID – 19

I hope you all are keeping safe and social distancing yourself from your friends, neighbours, and relatives to help stop the spread of the COVID-19. All of us need to do our part during this time and stay home. But staying home is easier said than done, especially after several weeks. We’ve got some ideas to help keep spirits high and to fight boredom. Here are 6 fun at-home activities you can do.

Number 1: Board Games
Bring out the board games! Monopoly, Scrabble, or another one of your favourites is a great way to keep everyone preoccupied for hours. It’s also a great time to learn a new game. One of my favourites is Codenames, which you can still get delivered on Amazon.

Number 2: Make A Movie
Pull out your phone, write a script, and press play. Share it with your family and friends. It might be the laugh everyone needs during this time.

Number 3: Build Forts
Everyone remembers the fun of pulling off all the cushions and blankets and making a legendary fort. Relive those golden days but this time bring a laptop or tablet inside with some popcorn and watch one of your favourite movies.

Number 4: Make Video Calls
Now it can be a very lonely time for those who are self-isolating on their own. Spread a little love by Face-timing or doing a Google Hangout with family and friends. Reach out. This is the time when we need each other the most.

Number 5: Get Fresh Air
Get out of the house by going for a walk, a bike ride, or even playing a game in the backyard. Use your free time to enjoy all that nature has to offer but remember to stay 6ft away or cross the street if you see other people out.

Number 6: Plan a Scavenger Hunt
If you have kids, plan an epic scavenger hunt for them after they go to sleep. After breakfast the next morning, everything will be set up and ready to go. This should keep them occupied for a few hours.

Whatever you choose to do, keep yourself and your family safe. By staying at home we are hopefully flattening the curve. If you have any doctors, nurses or other medical practitioners in the family send them thanks for all that they are doing.
